Well, it will, eventually. Every wound will heal, every pain be soothed and suffering will end. Just not on this side of eternity. Sometimes the healing comes. Sometimes the suffering is removed. But sometimes we go through hell so that we can help others who are going through hell and have not yet learned that we can lean on God in the Valley of Shadows. As we are refined in the fires and learn to run to God, we find the path to peace in the midst of every circumstance. We can then show others that our circumstances don't have to control our lives. We can help others because we have been there, because there was no instant fix but rather something better. Even when we made our bed in hell God is with us. So today, let us take our time in days of trouble as an avenue to sympathize with and help others who don't know that hope can live in the presence of pain.
