Unshackled Moments ~ March 24 ~ You Find What You Look For

I am most certainly not a proponent of the power of positive thinking. And I am not a believer in the benefits of denying reality or self delusion. That said, there is more truth in the promise that if you seek you will find than just that those who seek God will find Him and be found by Him. It may not always be true that you find what your looking for, but it's far more likely that you will find what you're looking for than not. What I mean by that is that while pretending things are good when they are not is not helpful or healthy, if all we look for is what is going wrong with life, the problems and the things to be afraid of, that's what we find. It's impossible to find things to be grateful for or that are good in life while focusing on the negative in and around us. Sometimes life can be so hard and overwhelming that it's hard to see the light. During those times it may feel impossible to avoid falling into a pit of self-pity, but by looking for things to be grateful for we may find the sun breaking through the clouds. It's not pretending that things aren't bad, or trying to make things seem less than by imagining them being worse, but an honest asking of what can I be grateful for at this moment. Today let us try to hang onto honest gratitude.

Unshackled Life Ministries is grateful for every person that reads the daily Unshackled Moments and or listens to the messages. I want to thank those who have clicked "like" on something that blessed or ministered to them. It is encouraging to know that God is using this ministry to help and bless others. Please remember that if God used something from this ministry to help, encourage or bless you, it could also bless someone else. Would you help get the devotions to more people by sharing the Moments and messages that you read or listen to? Hitting the share button instead of or in addition to the like button will help us reach more people with the good news of freedom and the encouragement to live an Unshackled Life. Thank you and God bless.
